We had only a very short overnight stay in Ventimiglia as we changed trains on the way through to Turin. We arrived late to a very warm welcome, and the hosts did everything they could to make our stay a pleasant one. We had to leave early in the morning to catch the train and were presented with a great... More

My husband and I spent the night here during our trip to Italy. We flew into Nice airport and then took the train to Ventimiglia to drop off our luggage before heading back to Monaco for the day. It was a Friday so there was a street bazaar/flea market going on. There were lots of great vendors with tons of... More

We stayed here one night to break up the train trip from Avignon to the CInque Terre and it was fine. Its within walking distance from the train station (about 10 minutes) Small room, thin mattress, but the bathroom was good, the room was clean, breakfast was filling. We had a small balcony which allowed us to dry some clothes.... More

This hotel was a nice cozy base for a visit to Monaco. It was only about a 10 min stroll to the train station. That being said, Ventimiglia itself was a lovely town and great for walking around and eating out. The hotel itself was very clean and pleasant. The room, while small, was very comfortable, and had a nice... More

I missed my train connection in Ventimiglia, the Calypso was the first hotel I saw, and I was very happy to have found it! It's 2 streets away from the sea, very clean, fresh decor and nice helpful staff. I paid 85 euros for a double w/bath and toilet in the room (there are cheaper doubles w/ shared bath and... More

Spent 3 nights here. When we got into the room the toilet didn't flush. We had to use a communal toilet in the corridor for the first 2 days. When we told them they said they'd fix it, but the following morning (still not fixed), the rudest receptionist ever accused of us of breaking the toilet when we got to... More

If you have to stay a night in Ventimiglia (try not to if you can) then this hotel is acceptable. About 5 minutes walk from the train station and a few minutes to the waterfront, we paid 80 euro for a standard double room - nothing fancy but clean. A typical breakfast offering was included in the price.

Background: I was booked into here by family for 5 nights to be close to everything in Ventimiglia as their own places were tiny! Ventimiglia itself is a wonderful place to visit and stay and is less busy than areas like Sanremo or Monaco, but provides a real view of Italy and how the locals live. Hotel: The hotel is... More

Small room, but adequate. Short walk to train station which was important. Very Clean. Great Breakfast. Polite desk person..perhaps owner? No elevator, but that was not important. Comfortable bed. Good value.

We stayed here for just one night, being forced to due to inconvenient train connections between France and Italy. This turned out to be a very pleasant surprise. Ventimiglia turned out to be a locewly introduction to Italy, and the hotel was equally delightful. The hotel was very clean and well organised, with nicely polished tiled floors, and somewhat spartan... More
