The hotel is in a very central location close to shops and restaurants and about a 10 minute walk from the train station. The room was quite small and furnishings a bit dated, it was located on the side of the building so it was quiet. The breakfast is served in a nice bright room with an adjoining courtyard -... More

The breakfast is very bad, and almost an insult to any normal tourist. Sometimes there is no cheese at all. The first day they had English breakfast tea, but the second they they ran out of English breakfast tea. They only had "Orange & Cinnamon", "Camomile", "Green tea" and "Indian chai". You could see at the quantity left of these... More

I selected this hotel because I couldn't get a room in Cinque Terre. But I am glad it turned out that way. I actually liked being in La Spezia since it was full of Italians and few other tourists, so it had a certain authenticity. The hotel is about a 10 minute walk from the train station, a 5 minute... The hotel manager verbally abused us at 12:30am when we rang from the Cinque Terre requesting him to call a taxi in the town we were staying, after finding out the train was delayed by 45 minutes. After catching an unexpected train home not long after the call was made (due to shady characters occupying the train station), we were again,... More

The hotelier was so rude and literally yelled at people staying at the hotel. We asked the person behind the desk to book us a taxi, which we ended up cancelling. In the middle of the night the hotelier and the taxi driver came up to the room of two of the girls who had booked the taxi and DEMANDED... More

Stayed 2 nights, arrived without reservation and a rental car, as other have mentioned, they have a garage a few hundred meters away. Our room was on the top floor with a slanted roof, it didn't bother us as it was clean and quiet. Great location, I love the pedestrian areas around it.

We stayed 4 nights at Genova Hotel. We found the staff very friendly and most helpful. The Hotel was clean, the room we had was large, and the breakfast was ok although they didn't have toast. If we were going to this area again we would not hesitate to stay here and have recommended the Hotel to friends who are... More

Convenient walk to the train station, shops, and waterfront areas. Very small beds - wouldn't suit tall or large guests. Double-glazed windows - great idea in hot weather. Although the hotel faces a pedestrian precinct, there was a lot of "people noise" - talking, music etc floating up from below at night. I was glad to be able to reduce... More

The hotel is centrally located and a useful stop over hotel. Had not planned to stay in La Spezia as had difficulty in finding accommodation in the area. The room overlooked the main street and was clean and had a large, comfortable bed. If anything the room was a little noisy internally and externally despite the double glazed windows and... More

No real complaints about this place except thre was no WiFi . We found this to be one of the only places we stayed without it out of around 17 places we stayed on the trip.If you must stay in La Spezia it ok but if I went again I would stay in one of the cinque terra towns .... More
