There were no lifts and 2 flights of stairs. Offered no help with suitcases. Owner/manager showed no care in all matters. Was only concerned with payment. Booked for 3 people - room far too small. It was hard to communicate with the owner because he couldn't speak English and wasn't really interested in helping us

Can you specify when you've been? I think you're wrong hotel. Our hotel is run only by me and my wife (Antonio and Alice) and we both speak English, as evidenced by all the other reviews. Our structure has only 7 rooms and the only one triple is the most spacious of all. More

Between my 70 year old mother and I we have a mixed review. My opinion: the owners were super and went above and beyond what was needed. Rooms were quite small but clean. The windows face into an alley which gets noisy and the garbage trucks in the early hours do not help. Location in relation to the train and... More

We needed a place close to the train station in La Spezia but the closest ones were sold out so we booked this one for 1 night. This one is close to the pier so came handy to catch the boat to Cinque Terre. It was clean and the owner is very friendly.

Budget priced hotel, more like a pensione. Simple room with sink and small bathroom down the hall. Family owned by young couple with their two small children. Honest, accommodating owner (he returned 1 Euro to me after I paid indicating that his rate was showing up as $1 less than what I had indicated). About a 15 minute walk from... More

The hotel is walking distance from the central station end only a block away from the waterfront area. It is situated in a beautiful area of this picturesque town. We were warmly and friendly welcomed, we could get extra information on the local scene, like places to eat and the best places to discover. We had an excellent stay!

We have been for the third time in Albergo Teatro in october 2012 and once again experienced the same friendly welcome by Antonio and Alice as before. Whenever needed this was accompanied by helpful hints in any respect. You don't need more than this simple and clean place to stay if you want to discover la Spezia and its formidable... More

I was unsure whether to give this place two or three points, but considering the high price we paid I decided to give just two. You could expect more for that money but in summer hotels are expensive in La Spezia. The location is great in the city centre and close to harbour. However, you can hear everything from the... More

This hotel is located approx. 10 minute walk from the train station and a 5 minute walk to the marina. The hotel is located in a typical Italian apartment style building with the owners living a floor above. There are many good restaurants, coffee shops, and wine bars right outside your door. The local market is also a short walk... More

this is a seven-room hotel rated one star but the experience is wonderful. The only drawback is that the bathroom is not in the room, minor inconvenience. It's clean, very safe (locked building for which you have a key) Great area near good restaurants, ferry to Cinque Terre, easy walk to the train station and good shopping streets. Antonio and... I recently stayed in this little hotel for 8 days with my daughter (25) and a friend (64). It is right in the middle of a vibrant, happy italian community so, as such, isn't always quiet but is a wonderful taste of real Italy. As others have mentioned, the bottle collectors are noisy but that doesn't last long and we... More
