I've not stayed here but called in on my way back from Central Italy. Arrived by bike having ridden some really great roads up from the coast. The food was really superb and the staff very friendly despite by slightly bedraggled appearance. I so love France and Italy great food, great people and no pretensions

We only stayed here 1 night...just to get a taste of Cinque Terre. The hotel was about 20 mins away form Monterosso as such but there were local buses and the hotel provided a free shuttle to and from the town. I've read reviews about this hotel being a little out of the way. It is, in fact, above Monterosso and you have to take the hotel shuttle or a taxi into town. Clean, modern, affordable rooms with staff that took care of with spectacular service. We were extremely comfortable and felt both pampered and at home here. It's an oasis on top of the city.

I did not actually stay at this property; my travel plans changed and I had to cancel, but I was pleased at how they treated the situation. As a hotel, this is far better than the 2-star rating suggests.
