Room 102. Decent room size, but very noisy because too close to the lobby (I could hear people speaking at the checkin desk, trough the door!), wall socket very badly positioned, those that were reachable were broken. The tap is mounted so far off the sink that water flows out to the side almost by itself. Broken wall switches, no... More

This hotel has clean and spacious rooms. The concierge was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was delicious. Situated in a convenient location, close to port and Ancona train station. The only problem to report was my key getting stuck in the lock from the inside, whoops. Overall, I enjoyed my stay at Grand Hotel Passetto.

Visited this Grand Hotel in late October. It is located at the top end of town, across from the water. The room was pleasant with a marvellous bath particularly for Italy and European hotels in general. The hotel appears to be a resort in summer, so booking in high season might be an issue. The staircase in the hotel lobby... More

Lovely hotel with great views out over the sea. The receptionist recommended a restaurant and I had a lovely meal there. The rooms are bright with lovely airy balconies. The swimming pool was beautifully clean - if a little chilly! The breakfast room is really comfortable with charming décor. I am so glad I stayed at this hotel.

This is a town hotel situated in a quite and rather up-market residential area in the busy port of Ancona. Still, within a short walking distance (2km) from the bustling commercial centre . This is a hotel that feels like you have stepped into a private home. My wife and I stayed at the hotel last year (2010) on our... More

This was an unexpected find. For those who only pass through Ancona by train or to board the ferry to Croatia the impression of the city is not attractive. We were apprehensive about staying there overnight; we shouldn't have been. Passetto is a beach suburb on the other side of the city but only 2km out from the centre and... More

The hotel is beautifully and tastefully furnished. Sitting room areas are comfortable and attractive. Rooms are large, airy, and comfortable. Extensive breakfast opens at 6:30,which was nice, for we are early risers. Hotel staff were friendly, available, and knowledgeable. We had a sea-view room, which provided a lovely view of the Adriatic. Across the street is a park with walking... More

A classic hotel in the Grand style: charming, beautiful, well located and decorated with the utmost taste. It is spacious and well lighted, painted with pastel tones and boasting a myriad of pleasant details that make it unique. Its sea views are truly spectacular and on a clear day, the Adriatic shines almost below your eyes. The rooms are clear,... More

The Passetto is a charming place, with sea views and a grandeur that isn't so much faded as well aged. The rooms are modernist/international in style and have heavy duty airconditioning and high ceilings, leaving the air fresh throughout the night. The only possible complaint would be some noise pollution due to events on the Piazza 4 Novembre, otherwise a... More

I stayed here for 5 nights while doing some work in Ancona. The hotel was excellent. High-class charm, clean room, great views. The beach was across the road. The staff were very helpful and kind. Parking was easy. Also provided very easy access to Sirolo, Numana, Pontnuevo, and other interesting areas. Really want to recomment Il Molo in Portonuevo. Excellent... More
