Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. 2 adults and 2 children in a family room with breakfast included. The staff was very helpful and the room was very clean. It is located in a great area (Trastevere) and would happily stay there again.

We stayed three nights after a week of cycling in the Puglia region of Italy. The location on a quiet street is perfect for walking to Rome's major attractions and also close to public transportation; the staff is very helpful and warm; the breakfast is substantial and tasty. Our room was large, attractive and comfortable; the bathroom was large, modern,...

Nice spacy rooms, friendly and helpful staff, perfect location in the center of Trastevere (definitely the nicest aeria to live in Rome), in smaller quiet street. Breakfast good by italian standards. In general, nothing to complain about, and we can gladly recommend this hotel.
After the first of our three nights at the Residenza Santa Maria, nestled in the amazing streets of Trastevere, we started to feel like it was our new vacation home in Rome.
The staff was helpful and friendly, and the location was close enough, but not too close, to some of the most popular sites, like the Pantheon.
There wasn't...

I booked a stay here for 4 nights, and once I got there I extended it for another two. I could have gone to another hotel, but I couldn't imagine finding something better.
The staff was really helpful - when the person I was traveling with was ill, the receptionist offered to make a cup of tea. When I needed...

We have just returned from a long weekend and we had booked the Residenza Santa Maria based on a recommendation from a friend who had stayed at the sister Hotel Santa Maria in February. Pre-trip communications were really helpful and expedient by the staff. We wanted an Italian experience rather than a faceless-could-be-in-any-European-city-hotel experience and the hotel was beautifully authentic....

My daughter and I just spent 3 nights at the Residenza. We enjoyed the tasteful, subdued style and decor. The room was spacious, comfortable and quiet. As soon as you step outside the Residenza, you find yourself in the midst of the lively, picturesque area of Trastevere. Although there are many tourists (like ourselves), it has a vibrant very Roman...

We stayed in November 2011 and could not have been happier with the location, service, and people.
The owner, Stefano, went out of his way to take care of my wife and I. He gave us great recommendations for eating in Trastevere. The Trastevere area is away from all the busy tourist spots in Rome and you have a nice...

We had lovely 4 days in Rome staying in Resideza Santa Maria. Perfect location and comfortable clean rooms. Staff was very friendly and helpfull. Our room was bit dark (hence the hotel is built in old monastery) but did not really matter as we never were in during the days as we had long days discovering the wonders of Rome....

Our daughter had been studying in Rome for 5 months, and the rest of our family went to visit her. We choose Residenzia Santa Maria because it was a short walk to her school, although I was a little concerned about the location. It was very much the opposite. After seeing the rest of Rome, this was by far my...
