Very friendly, helpful staff - two brothers - who spoke English fluently. They were only too happy to help us with any little thing. The rooms were VERY clean. Clean bedsheets and towels everyday. TV and fan in the room. Bathroom was clean also.Offered us transfers - we ended up getting our own however. Breakfast was a lovely coffee and... More

Stayed here 3 nights. Left with over 100 bed bug bites covering my arms, ears, and back. My girlfriend had 50 bed bug bites on her back. The bites are big and red, take long to heal, and they itch to the point where you want to scream. The maids don't change your sheets in between nights. Save yourselves from... More

I have stayed here 3 times and have always been satisfied. The location is perfect for my needs (train station, food and entertainment). The neighbor feels safe, is quiet at night and there is a little store around the corner where you can buy water and snacks until late. Most importantly, it is clean. I am not looking for luxury... I actually found the staff quite friendly overall. Lukas treated me very well when I checked in -- and his command of English was almost like a native! The location is good and convenient. As for the breakfast, I am reading comments from others -- but that's Italian breakfast for you!! They are not big breakfast people like, say, the... More

The plusses - good location - 10 mins walk from Termini train station and 30 min walk to Pantheon; rooms are clean; decent price; wifi access. The negatives - even though it's on the 5th floor - it's loud (but this is Rome); hot water showers last 45 seconds; absolutely zero cozy atmosphere. All in all - it's a decent... More

Landed in Rome with no accomadation. So we went to the Last minute counter at the train station to see what we could get for 3 nights. We were told there was not that much accomadation available, but Ares rooms was available with a shared bathroom, so we took it. When we arrived we were pleasantly supprised. The room was very... This was booked for me by my travelling companion, so I didn't bother to check reviews. Now I wish that I had. The review by jmisdraji would have warned me what to expect. The worst part was the breakfast. A voucher was supplied that got you a coffee and a croissant in a nearby bar, with tables by a busy... More

I chose Ares Rooms because it was supposed to be a reasonably priced, centrally located gay rooming house. Where to begin. The room was modest, a bit cramped, no A/C. Bathroom was one towel only, no face cloths, etc. So you get the point - no frills. But that isn't the issue. The hallways were a bit dark, and you... More

Ares Rooms was a good find - very central, a few minutes walk from Termini station and we were able to check in mid-morning. The room was clean and well-presented. Two criticisms though; there was no soap or hand towel in either of the two bathroom. Also, the owner/staff weren't overly friendly - when we arrived they seemed positively stressed... More
