Travelocity will not guarantee my hotel reservation - Hotel La Fenice in Rome has charged 3x the rate quoted by Travelocity. I have spoken to Travelocity over 4 times and have spent over 5 hours on the phone with them. Travelocity agrees that the quoted rate is the correct rate but says it is up to me to speak to... More

For some reason, we were told at check in that we weren't stay in the actual hotel but a room down the road. The room we were placed in must of been an old apartment that had been changed into the hotel room. My brother-in-law had the other room in the 'apartment'. Ours was massive (a huge amount of wasted... More

We stayed in the renovated part, which is in another building around the corner. Small room, but very modern and a great bathroom. Only bad point was a huge mobile radio mast pointing right in the room. All those nasty high-power microwaves passing through you while you sleep .... Nice breakfast on the roof of the main building. Friendly &... More

i've spent honeymooning backpacking around europe and spent a few nights in rome. we stayed at la fenice hotel and had a marvelous and amazing time. the location was amazing that we could only remember walking everywhere everyday..the nearest to the hotel in the trevi fountain and you'll find yourself lost in the wonderful alleys and end up at the... We had a wonderful stay at The Hotel La Fenice in Rome. Small, but very nice hotel - just a few rooms. Very central, between the Trevi Fountain and the Spanish Steps. The room was very nice and clean. The size of the room was ok, and the bathroom even had a bidet. Nice roof terrace were the breakfast was... More

MS. CINTIA was the antithesis of customer service. My sister & I stayed there 6-8 MAY and upon check out confirmed our reservation for 14-15 MAY. When we arrived on SAT, MS. CINTIA had given our room away and the hotel was sold out. Fortunately, there was another hotel in their group up the street to which we were relocated.... More

We had booked this vacation in September 2010. When we arrived, the hotel clerk, told us because of some festivity in the city, the hotel was overbooked and we would have to be moved to another hotel for the evening. This was very disturbing and were not sure we had any other choice. Another couple arrived while we were waiting... More

A stone's throw from the Trevi fountain and other attractions made this an ideal base. Includes breakfast which was limited to sweet pastries and coffee. The big downer was the smell in the room - it was awful. Raw sewage. And it was February - glad it wasn't the summer.

The room was small, but I have nothing bad to say about my stay there. The location is extremely useful (close vicinity of the Spanish Steps and Trevi Foundation), the price was unbelievably inexpensive, and the room was extremely clean. Definitely suggest for any travelers who are in Rome to see the sights and not hang out in the hotel... More

This hotel is clean, friendly and in a fantastic location a stones throw away from the Spanish Steps and Trevi fountain and great access to the Metro line at Baberini. Just tucked up a quiet street off a main road, it was quiet, clean, lovely sized room and the towels and sheets were changed every day. Having gone in September... More
