We stayed at the hotel for 5 nights, arriving on 4.4.2012. To be honest, room was ok - clean and tidy, just what we expected. The only one disappointment was that the last two nights we could smell cigarettes smoke coming from other hotel rooms even thought we were staying on non-smoking floor. Bad I suppose this is bad habit... More

Dear Valued Guest, Please accept my apologies for any inconvenience you may have experienced during your stay with us in regards to the opening hours of the Breakfast Lounge on the Easter Monday, because that day is a bank holiday and will be possible to have breakfast form H. 7.00 a.m. instead of H. 6.30 a.m. Usually the Costumers who... Arrived today (10 April 2012). Room must be well below 10C, floor especially cold. Noticeably colder than outside temperature, due to rooms on 'dark' side of hotel. Told by management essentially it was too bad, they'd turned the heating off because it was summer and would not turn it on again or provide any in-room heating ("it's against the law").... More

My experience with this hotel was awful not just because of the filthy room but the service given by the front desk. Unfortunately, instead of getting a lovely welcome the service I received during check in (the agent wearing black glasses who is balding) was just terrible I didn’t feel welcome and the hospitality is very bland. Also, when I... More

Dear Valued Guest, Thank you for this detailed review. In general Rome hotel rooms are on a smaller scale to that of Northern America so I hope this not affect your stay in Rome too much. Please accept my apologies for any inconvenience you may have experienced in regards to the above mentioned issue with the bathroom. Concerning the location... More

We booked this hotel three nights for our city trip to Rome. Even though it's not right into the center of Rome it's okay for what we needed it for. To be honest: There were better and worse hotels in my life before. The Holiday Inn Express Rome was something in the middle. Our room was clean, the bed had... More

Rooms are small but clean. Hotel could be updated in common areas, but all in all nice place. Breakfast was good. I would stay again. Although not near center of town, transportation extremely easy to navigate and buses, trains and metro right near by. Front desk staff could be nicer, but were always helpful when questioned.

The staff are extremely helpful. This location is convenient, bus stop is only a 5 min walk and it's amazing when the bus passes by the colliseum everyday. Hotel is clean and breakfast is very good. There is a supermarket around the corner. Perfect location if you're travelling on a budget.

We booked this room a couple months in advance and paid around $64 USD per night, including the weekend, for about 5 nights. The hotel is about a 5 minute walk from the train station (from the airport, 7-8 EU each way, per person - takes about 40 min. Trains leave to go to the airport about every 10 minutes... More

Booked a room for 2 in advance with a very good price - 64 euro per night. Was afraid that would be nothing for that and also very far from the downtown. Nope! it is very conviniently located hotel (bus, metro, train. 40 minutes to Vatican, 25 minutes to Termini, 45 minutes to the airport), good spacious rooms (not less... More

Rome hotels are generally very expensive, especially the ones near to the city center. So I chose Holiday Inn San Giovanni as an economic option. Holiday Inn hotels usually do not surprise, this was not an exception as well. Nothing special, but clean modest rooms. We booked a standart room and had a standart smallish room. Pros: -Room was clean.... More

We stayed for 3 nights. Quite a walk from the metro with cases and children. The area IS run down but hotel itself quite pleasant. Staff could have been more friendly but they were not rude. It is noisy but we thought the actual noise inside the hotel was worse than the nearby train station, because of the wood corridors.... More
