4 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 June 2013 NEW

The location is simply perfect, the palazzo impressive, the service excellent but breakfast was ok ( nothing more than ok), and the price is simply too high. Our room was large, comfortable with a great view but, for the price, needs a bit of revamping. Maybe best choice is to have a drink on the terrace and pick a better... More

This hotel was recommended by a well travelled friend. Our family had 2 rooms for 3 nights at $500 per night per room. For that amount I just expected a bit more. The rooms were small - but manageable. Bathrooms very nice. But the service was mixed - mostly very good but a few not so great ones. What I... More

This hotel is living off two assets--its wonderful location near the Pantheon and its very competent staff. Aside from this, it is an over-priced relic of a grand past. The public rooms are dowdy and the bed rooms are more utilitarian than grand Roman. While not objectionable, the hotel has been neglected and needs a thorough upgrade.

My husband and I stayed at this hotel on our honeymoon in October 2012. This hotel was in the perfect location, just a stone's throw away from the Pantheon. We were on the top floor with a view out our window of the back of the Pantheon. Room was clean and spacious. The price seemed a little steep for the... More

As all the other reviews, location is great. Just a heads up on a few glitches; 1. No hot water for showers after 9am 2. Aircon does not cool, only circulates the air. 3. "Classic" room is very small. 4. Small beer cost 12 Euro 5. Service in the roof terrace was very slow. All that said, I would still... More

Dear guest , Thank you for your review, we will work on these points and give you an even better experience next time. The ”glitches” you are referring to have various reasons, the first two are related, as we do have a centralized system for both heating and air-conditioning. A surprisingly cold spring has forced us to switch from one... More

We booked to stay here at the last minute as we had trouble with our first accomodation. The hotel is walking distance to the main attractions, it looks fabulous and our room was furnished to a high standard. It was clean, modern and beautiful with a mini fridge that got re stocked every day. The bathroom was large, clean and... More

Dear Guest, Thank you for choosing Grand Hotel De La Minerve for your holidays, our location is just in the very heart of the city, everything is at hand but on the other, Rome is a noisy city and does nothing to hide it! We were switching from heating to cooling just when you were here, as we use the... More

This hotel is about a half a block from the Pantheon on a quiet square just a few steps away from the throngs of tourists and cafes. I highly rate the location; it is my favorite place to stay in Rome. Both the ancient sites as well as the Vatican are easily walkable, and the location is perfect for evening... More

Dear Guest, Thank you for your sharing your experience, our location is perfect for city center strolls to all tourist attractions or to the shopping area. Our rates varies greatly during the year, May and October being Rome’s peak seasons and our rates are at the highest. They are anyway in line with the other comparable downtown Hotels. Take the... This was a great hotel, with excellent service, and in a great location. Our whole experience was positive from start to finish. Plus everything in Rome is walking distance from this hotel. I would not hesitate to stay here again.

Yeah, that’s right! ‘Dey got some GRAND ‘NERVE charging $700/night for the HUMAN FILTH that we encountered in our Junior Suite on a 2-night stay. I will now be reporting this hotel to SISP (the public health department in Rome), as the hotel has not responded to any of my emails or letters that I mailed to the management. Apart... More

Dear Guest, This review comes a bit surprising, we received your letters one year ago and sent the answers by regular mail, as you did. Having had no replies from you, we considered the matter resolved. Since your stay with us, August 2/3 2011, we have been controlled by the local sanitary office twice, with no issues. By the way,...
