But if you ask for a superior room with a balcony, make sure you are on the back side of the hotel, as the street (Via dei Pettinari) leads straight to the bridge (Ponte Sisto) and people walk across for dinner in the Trastavere and come home drunk. We started our two week Italian vacation in Rome and the Hotel Ponte Sisto was a very good start! The staff were very helpful. Great location if you want to visit Rome in a quiet and relaxed way!

The Hotel Ponte Sisto was the perfect location for our Roman holiday. Lovely accomodations and briskly efficient staff was the perfect home base for a week in Rome. Breakfast buffet was great, and roaming the streets for discovering both new and ancient Rome was great.

Of all the hotels we stayed at during our European trip (Madrid, Barcelona, Venice, Austria and Paris) this was the one we loved the most.
