I stayed for 3 nights with friends. The hostel is not great, but it is alright and it is pretty conveniently located. Rooms are big; bunks are comfy; shared bathrooms (if I'm not mistaken, all of which are "co-ed") are better than average -as they have private cubicles with sinks, toilets, and showers. It is two blocks away from the... More

This hostel was a terrible experience from the start to finish. When we checked in the guy at the desk was extremely unhelpful and rude. we have being interrailing for the last number of weeks and this hands down has being the worst hostel we have stayed in. The place is cold. Everything from internet to breakfast is an extra... More

Well I stayed in this Hostel for 3 nights with 2 other friends. The first two nights we had a private twin share room. We turned up early in the morning to leave our bags but couldnt check into 3pm (normal procedure so no problem!). We were told to come back anytime from 3pm onwards to check in. We came... More

It's a nice place but a bit dirty. They used to have free "pasta" at night, but it's just rubbish food. The breakfast is really poor too. Italian bread way too hard to chew. However sheets and bed were fine.

Alessandro was a huge relief after the 2 less-than-perfect ones we had stayed in before. The staff was friendly and more than happy to help us plan our days in Rome. The facilities were clean/spacious and there was plenty of hot water, bedding, storage, bathrooms, and laundry units to go around. We had all the extra amenities we needed to... More

The hostel was clean, secure and very well located - within a 10-15 minute walk of the Coliseum. We got to the hostel before check in and were able to dump our bags in there storage room. The guys on reception were friendly and helpful - they gave us a map, directions to the places we wanted to go after... More

I don't expect massive service when I get to a hostel but the service here was useless to say the least. We arrived at 2.40 and were told check in was at 3 on the dot so we had to wait - while we did so we used the hour internet your allowed each a night (don't get me started,... More

When I give this hostel 5 stars, it is a "scalable" 5 stars, meaning that it's not saying it's the best hostel ever, but a fantastic hostel for Rome (notorious for grody and overpriced hostels). Remember, this review is for a "Hostel in Rome," not just a "hostel" or a "hotel." I met others who've been to Rome and stayed... More

Stayed a few nights here in August 2011. Reading some of the umpteen petty complaints about this place on TripAdvisor made me feel that various whingers should be transported back to the Iron Age to experience real discomfort - this is, after all, a hostel not a four star hotel. Folks, this hostel is very handily located next to the... More

Stayed in this hostel after fleeing hostel two duks for bedbugs.. Here there were washingmachines and dryers so we could wash everything! Very good! The room was 6 person dorm but very big, other hostel would have put 12 beds in there! The problem was the hostel did have a kitchen but you are not allowed to use it... They... More
