My husband and I loved the Hotel Bramante in 1998 and marveled at the updates since that visit. Location for us is its outstanding asset; hospitality of the staff ( front desk and breakfast room) and amenities within are additional assets!. Being within very easy walking distance to a street with many choices for restaurants, 5 minutes to St. Peter's... More

Our stay at the Bramante was excellent. Although our room was on the third floor (with no elevator), they helped me get my bags up to the room. What do you expect when you stay just steps from St. Peter's square and adjacent to 'il passetto'. What an incredible street to stay on in Rome. Steps from the hotel you... More

I stayed in this hotel for an extended period. It is very handy for visits to the Vatican which is a short walk away. The main sites around the city centre are a bit further away but it depends how much you care to walk. The city centre is about half an hour or less away as are many of... More

If you would like to stay close to the Vatican/St Peters Basilica - this is the perfect hotel. The rooms are a little small (but then you don't spend time in your room) and the shower is very small (this could be made bigger). The staff were friendly, breakfast had a good selection - cereals, fresh fruit, cheeses etc and... More

by the reviews on tripadvisor. Postive points : excellent location, spacious room, comfortable bed, great toiletries, decent breakfast, free wifi. Some less positive points : the room was very dark and lighting wasn't adequate to read comfortably ; there was no bath, just a shower ; the street can be quite noisy (bring earplugs) ; we were given wrong information... This is family run hotel. It is classy, very Roman and without meretricious fripperies.I have stayed there on more than one occasion and cannot fault the service and the general friendliness of staff. It is close to St. Peter's and a restaurant called 'Da Roberto'. Nothing else is needed!

I stayed in a standard room at the Bramante while I explored the Vatican and surrounding area for four days. The details: Pros: Great location. Just about ten minutes from a metro stop (Ottaviano) and a couple blocks from the Vatican and St. Peters. My room was clean, functional, and I had no problems with housekeeping. Tasty breakfast buffet… this... More

On a side street The hotel wall abuts the wall of the Vatican Not very quiet but no place in Rome is quiet Breakfast is excellent and considering the price of food in Rome worth €30+ so deduct that when you look at the price of the hotel Free WI FI Bed was hard Ask for room 16 or 18

Hotel Bramante is a small lovely old world boutique hotel on a quiet narrow ancient cobblestoned street in a safe friendly neighborhood around the corner from the Vatican. The staff is friendly, always available, kind and helpful. Nikita, the friendly black cat, is usually stretched out on one of the oriental rugs near the entry way. The breakfast buffet provided... Our family stayed for 3 nights at this hotel 6/28-7/1. Conveniently located by the Vatican and other major sites, this hotel was a pleasant and comfortable experience. The front desk staff were always very friendly and helpful. They arranged for a shuttle to the airport which was extremely convenient. The breakfasts were delicious and the woman who tended to us...
