My girlfriend & i stayed here for one night while travelling around Italy, we wish we had stayed for longer! This is a beautiful place, with the lake as the centrepiece, we wish we had time to go to Castel Gandulfo. We got a train to Marino from Rome (35 mins) and when we arrived I didn't have any luck... We stayed here for one night in March during our travels in the Castelli Romani., The room was large, overlooking the pool (which was not open), wifi, fridge, strange long and narrow bathroom with shower, large parking area, no restaurant, and breakfast in the room. The people at the front desk were very friendly. The "lakeside" rooms overlook the street... More

This hotel is in the countryside, about a mile walk to the nearest town of Marino (worth a visit) We arrived mid morning, and were surprised to be welcomed very charmingly by the gentleman at reception, and shown to our room. We had a HUGE room overlooking Rome in the distance, it was extremely clean and comfortable, the decor was... More

I visited Marino for a wedding in July, where the bride made accommodations at this hotel. The first thing you notice is the stunning view of Lake Albano from the hotel entrance! The rooms are very comfortable and clean! The breakfast offered lots of variety! The pool was perfect place to keep cool in the nice summer heat. Most importantly,... More

This hotel is great as a base for touring the area and also for relaxing. Far enough from Rome for peace and quiet but close enough to see all the sites. My room was very large and very comfortable - the hotel is very clean and the rooms a serviced every day. The staff at reception are very helpful and... More

we stayed here for 2 nights and the service was atrocious. There was no food on offer when we arrived (which was at about 1pm, normal Itaian lunch time!) - the only thing they could offer wasa microwaved sandwich which quite honestly left a lot to be desired... the rooms were small and not very clean, we had booked 2... the hotel is situated on a hill between Castel Gandolfo and Marino overlooking the lake - marvellous view (get a room with a view). Service is very friendly - we got a coffee and a croissant at 6 o'clock in the morning. If you have to catch an early plane from Ciampino airport this is a very suitable place to... More

We have just returned from a short break at Grand Hotel Villa dei Papi and we had a wonderful and relaxing time. The hotel has great lake views and has easy parking which was great. We rented a car and basically drove around this beautiful part of Italy for a few days and it was always good to get back... More

I stayed here for threee nights. The hotel is nice, on top of the crater and overlooking the lake Albano. It is close to Gastelgandolfo and very close to Ciampino airport. The rooms are large except the bathroom, that was tiny and dark. Decoration is quite kitch, a pity for the magnitude of the hotel. Breakfast was ok, buffet with selection... More
