On arrival we were shown to a standard room as all the economy/budget rooms were taken! The room was clean and certainly nicer than we had expected, and the young lady on reception was friendly and explained the situation to us. We were only to be in this larger room for one night and then if we left all our... More

My unfortunate experience with Silva Hotel began with receiving a room key. I was asked to pay 2 euro daily additional fee and walk to the basement of the building carrying my heavy travel bag. Following the signs "Toilet" I found my room just next door to them. A clean, but dark and cold room was waiting for me. I... More

Great value in a nice residential area, close by the Bologna metro stop. But if you like walking, getting to Villa Borghese is a nice stroll and you can take Via Nomentana to the Center. The staff was friendly and helpful and the room basic but clean. My only complain would be no Internet access in the rooms , I... More

My wife and I just completed a stay at this hotel and to be honest, would never recommend this as a place to stay unless you are paying 50 euro or less per night. pro:1) location is 5 min from balogna metro which means you have all of rome at your fingertips 2)young lady at the front desk during the... But Overall good rooms with air conditioning breakfast was good ( continental style),as much as you can eat.the... More

I found my room warm and welcoming, with a comfortable bed and cool air conditioning. I had a good breakfast with fresh "CORNETTOS" and "NUTELLA", included. The Hotel has no private parking, but it is easy to park in the area.

Good hotel if you get the right room. In other words call up first (Skype). We had room 105 on the first floor. No elavator. Extremely friendly staff, even though we speak no Italian. The woman at the front desk tried to get us a taxi, but to no avail and then just drove us herself to the Termini station... More

You would almost wish that Basil, Sybil and Manuel were running this hotel when you stay here; at least their comedy routine would go some way to explain the atrocious service that we received. They say that "beauty is on the inside", it however becomes very apparent that once you get past the pretty exterior of Hotel Silva and set... More

Both my friend and I paid exactly the same for our rooms. My friend had a substantially larger room, better bathroom and even windows! By comparison I had a stuffy room with an aircon unable to counter even the October heat, NO WINDOW except for a skylight which did little to nothing for the heat! The bathroom was tiny to... More
