The location is pretty good because it is close to the train station, which is why I stayed there a second time despite the rude receptionist from my first stay a year prior. The second time she was still there and still rude, only this time I got charged twice for 1 night stay! They charged me once when I... More

As others have already written we were a bit apprehensive, so it was a pleasant a pleasant surprise to find the San Remo was much better that others have found. The rooms were very clean and spacious, the bathroom ok, although the chrome has worn off the taps etc., the shower was great and the water plenty warm enough for... More

Staff were helpful, rooms are large and well appointed. It does seem expensive, but there were no major complaints. Breakfast was good, and the staff even packed us a take away breakfast for our final day as we had to check out before the buffet began. I would stay in this location again.

I was quite nervous about what to expect from the Hotel having read some of the earlier reviews, but was pleasantly surprised. It is only 3*, but is in a great location and within easy walking distance of all the main attractions. We got the bus to the termini station from the Airport and the hotel is an easy 10... More

It happened twice, I told the front desk that it was not ok for the maid to enter the room when I was sleeping, then it happened again the day after. The hotel is nice some rooms have a bad smell and some are ok, I book 2 rooms for me and my mom. The service was ok but I... More

Me and my sis stayed here (booked through Citalia) and found the hotel a great bargain. We got the train, late at night from the airport and came out at the wrong end on the station and admittedly we were a bit concerned as it looked a little rough-but if we had come out the main entrance and headed straight... We have jsut returned from a fantastic stay in Rome; a birthday present from my husband. We spent 3 days in Rome, staying at the Hotel San Remo. I did read the reviews however i remained open minded as people do have differing expectations of 3* hotels. I am pleased I did! The hotel was in an absolutely fantastic location... More

We stayed here for 3 nights at the start of our honeymoon. I didnt expect anything spectacular from the hotel and therefore was not disappointed. Its nothing flash but it was clean, well located, had air con and a comfy bed. All that you need if you plan to be out sightseeing all day anyway. There was plenty to eat... More

Although this hotel was in an excellent location for our explorations of Rome, the hotel is in dire need of a renovation and especially a coat of paint. The room furnishings were fairly new but very Spartan. The bathtub and facets need replacing. There were scuff marks on the wall in our room that were not cleaned the whole time... More

First impressions were that it wasnt too bad but by day 3 I couldn`t wait to leave and from what I saw of other 3 star hotels in the area the San Remo definately seemed to lag behind. Sore points included the cockroaches scampering for cover in our room, the strange smell in our room, the lack of any hot... More
