Not next to any metro station. Bid station right in front of hotel however limited busesstops at it. Breakfast is a joke with no variety whatsoever. Not a walking distance to any major attraction.

Stayed with a small school tour in October. Reception staff and restaurant staff were helpful and friendly. Rooms were basic and very noisy at night due to the nightclub operating next door. Breakfast was very basic with limited choices for hungry teenagers, although dinner was quite adequate and wait staff were very friendly looking after our students with second helpings... More

I was supposed to stay at the latinum across the road. Due to an incident there, I had to stay here. The room - this was ok. The worst are the bathrooms... Disgusting. I have pictures that I will upload. Our particular shower didnt work properly... The hotel didnt fix it as it was a Saturday night they said. The... More

THis hotel is located not too far from the train station and is across the street from a part of the ancient Roman wall. Bus stop in front of building, local train nearby. Double paned windows cut down on noise, that others have mentioned. Front desk helpful. the room was very clean - not large, but really how much space... More

The hotel was clean and well maintained and the staff were friendly and helpful but it was badly let down by the nightclub behind it. Although you could not hear any music, between 23.00pm and around 05.30am their was shouting, screaming, arguing, laughing, chatting, cars coming and going and the sounds of the equipment being loaded and unloaded from the... From the outside the hotel is stunning and so it the front desk area. Once you get to your room you will be very surprised. We paid way too much for this hotel and the room was tiny with 3 twin beds. It was also VERY loud. The traffic outside this hotel is crazy and if you are a sensative... More

First time to Rome so was unsure what to expect. However the hotel provided us with a good overall first experience. The majority of the staff are very polite. 2 gentlemen in particular on reception (unfortunately don't know their names) were extremely helpful. We had a slight issue with our flights being cancelled during our stay and the gentleman on... More

I visited Rome in August 2011, and stayed 2 night at this Hotel. It is listed as a three star hotel, but I saw it as a two-star with possibilities of a three-star. The location is safe, and directly next to bus/tram stops which will take you to most places in Rome. It is also across from the Porta Maggiore,... More

The hotel is ok but dont expect much luxury, you get what you pay for. We had a room for two and paid 66 euros for two per night, which is cheap in Rome's center. The room was very clean, the service was very good (receptionists are very nice and speak french, german, english italian and maybe more). The room... More

Portamaggiore wasn't a bad hotel at all. The prices are all right. I didn't have any problems, although the rooms could be a little more clean and less outdated. The breakfast was all right. Location wasn't the best, but you can easily find a subway station in only five minutes (walking!). I loved the little restaurant on the same bulding... More
