Worst: bathroom showers ridiculously small. Hotel has many dark tiny rooms...and a few larger airy rooms. Look before you accept. Best: location is the best feature of this overpriced hotel.

Hotel Smeraldo is on a narrow street near the busy and delightful Campo de Fiore, Trastevere, and the sites of rome. It is not far from the bus stop at Piazza Argentina. The rooms are clean and while small, they are efficient. The staff is friendly and helpful. Good place for student groups. Nearby restaurants are good.
