4 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 May 2012 NEW

I stayed here as part of a tour group May 10-13. This is an old hotel, but most of the rooms seemed up to date and the bathroooms had been re-done recently. It was a very clean hotel located a short distance from the train station (Termini). The staff seemed to do a good job helping guests, and it offered... More

My family of 4 stayed at the Bettoja in October of 2011. We were very satisfied with the accommodations and the proximity to the Rome train station and ancient sites. The Hotel itself was older but well kept. Complimentary breakfast was great and the service was excellent. Wi-Fi worked well. The room was spacious with plenty of closet space. The... More

This was our second time staying at hotel Massimo D'Azeglio. Walking distance to the termini and many other sights. Strong, free wifi. Breakfast is fine for a free offering. We had a corner room which was large compared to the other rooms. Facing the street, it was noisy but I am use to noisier surroundings. The hardwood floors are very... More

The hotel is five to ten minutes from Rome Station, close to the centre of the city. The room was extra large, as was the bathroom. Our three night stay was very comfortable. The only drawback was the small breakfast room, which was very crowded.

We stayed here in February 2012 and enjoy all 4 days. Room at 3rd floor was clean and comfortable. The location was great - it was also close to the Metro station. We enjoyed the breakfast which catered for a wide range of tastes. The breakfast buffet was continental style with various bread and pastries, cold fruit, meat and cheese, and... More

My wife and I stayed here for a total of 5 nights. The first 2 nights we had a room on the 1st floor which was not nice. It was loud from the street below and the walls were paper thin!! We could hear the people in the next room talking and watching tv. We left the hotel for an... More

Made a last minute booking and were pleased with our choice. Only a 5 minute walk from the Termini and hence the metro station if you chose to use it. The room itself was of a good standard and the bathroom was excellent. Slightly disappointed with the service and attention from the concierge and reception staff. They seemed rather uninterested... It was hard to decide whether to give an average or poor rating to this property. But really, its problems are not of the hotel, but from the neighborhood. It is basically a stone's throw from the main train station, a notoriously terrible part of town (I was booked as part of a group, so had no choice). But -... More

Some of the other reviews have mentioned 'old dated decor' and the location being noisy with the windows open. Fact No 1. Rome is Noisy. If you want to be in the center and sleep with the window open, do not be surprised if you can hear life pulsing under the building. This hotel is 2 minutes from Termini train... More
