Basically we were looking for a place for one night in Rome and this was the cheapest option. When we arrived we were kind of confused as this is not a typical hotel as we all know it. This is basically a large appartment converted into 3 ensuite rooms and a kitchen, which is run by a family living close... More

We just stayed here 6 nights :-) There are just three rooms and the kitchen/breakfast room in this second floor apartment. Two of the rooms face the street (don`t worry, you can sleep through the little amount of noize). The Spagna room faces a courtyard (mainly used for parking) and has a small balcony :-) All rooms are spacious, simple... More

My Brother and I stayed here for a few days in Rome. First of all we had talked to the owner before hand via email and she knew we only spoke english (she speaks english), but instead sent her partner to greet us that spoke Spanish, so we had to wait for her to get there. She then informed us... More

We were kindly greeted from the host Paola, even though we arrived before planned. She also accepted that we payed later (please note no credit cards accepted). As a frequent user of hotels I always pay in the end anyway. we stayed in the place for 3 nights, our room was cleaned once. Its quite close to the vatican but... More

We are very pleased with our choice. Rooms are big and very clean. The beds are comfortable and bathrooms spotless. The location is also good. Very near the Vatican and short walking distance to the Ottaviano metro station. There's a Carefour Express and a Tosdi supermarket on the road behind. The main drawbacks in my opinion - the poor reception... More

Room basic but clean and comfortable. Good value for Rome. En-suite bathroom worth paying extra for. Room and bathroom cleaned and made up every day. Main negative is traffic noise particularly after 6 in the morning rush hour. The window is old and pooly fitting. Would make a huge difference fitting new aluminium sealed glazing. Kitchen advertised was out of... More

We stayed at SecretRome in October '10 and were pleased with the way this place was kept. It is very clean, comfortable and safe. Olga did a very good job maintaining it daily. We did not have any problems on arrival as Olga contacted us in advance via e-mail and arranged to meet & greet us. Information on hotel web... More

Really great value for money, an excellent choice of B&B, was initially worried about booking a shared bathroom, but host Paola was always cleaning bathroom and there was never a queue for the toilet. Rooms were an excellent size and always clean. Would have been nice to have a change of towels, but manageable as stayed only five nights, and... More

This is one of the best bed and breakfasts I have ever stayed. The photos of Secret Rome are lovely, but really can't capture just how lovely this place is. Every inch of it is tastefully redecorated and clean, clean, clean. It is just minutes from a couple of metro stops and practically at the front door of the Vatican... More
