This was my first trip to Rome. I didn't have any expectations except that I have a clean room, private bathroom, and somewhere to sleep. I was on the first floor near the front that looked out over the street. I have NO COMPLAINTS!! Hotel King met all my expectations and the staff were friendly and helpful. The location was... More

Stayed here for four days and this hotel ruined my great Rome experience. We were stuck on level one, the room was situated at the end of the bar so we had to travel through smOke infested booze bar just to get to the room. Staff refused to confirm our airport transfers via ph and were rude and sly. The... More

We stayed at the Hotel King for a week on our Honeymoon in June 2011...We had never been to Europe and were not sure what to expect. After reading tons of reviews both good and bad we made reservations for the Hotel King. I don't know how we got so lucky because this place was the perfect hotel for us... More

I've stayed in Hotel King 7 or 8 times in the past few years. The reasons for going back are value for money, situation and the quality of staff. The hotel has been modernising different parts on an annual basis, and although it may be seen by some as a bit 'old', it's comfortable, clean and welcoming. There's good A/C... More

Location is great-5 minutes to Spanish Steps and 10 minutes to Trevi Fountain. We had 3 rooms on 2nd floor. Noise from street is bad. Bathroom had black mold growing between tiles, water did not drain well from tub. Sheets were clean and beds were comfortable. Desk personnel were very unfriendly. Breakfast room was nice and rooftop terrace was nice.... More

We stayed here before beginning a Mediterranean Cruise and explored Rome for a few days. It's very old, as would be expected, but the room was adequate. The location was excellent for access to buses and the metro. Our room was located in the back of the hotel and was quiet. Some have balconies. Roof top lounge was a nice... More

Stayed June 29 to July 1, 2011 Good location, cereals and pastery breakfast. Able to get to famous Rome sites easily. Close to Ministry offices and US Embassy. Front desk staff nice but give general directions, not specific. Rooms sparsely furnished with very old carpet. needed to take two elevators to get to the fourth floor. Used the stairs most... More

My wife and I stayed here for several days as a part of an extended Italian holiday. We chose this hotel for the price and the location, just as we did ten years ago when we last stayed here. Not much has changed in ten years. It's still somewhat tired, but we still enjoyed the rooftop patio for breakfast, the... More

Booked this hotel for 1 night on a stopover in Rome. The facilities are basic but clean and the rooms are not enormous but for somewhere to lay your head, this hotel is fine. It's 5mins walk from the top of the Spanish Steps, 15 mins from the Trevi Fountain and is a good spot for a short stroll to... More
