My wife and I stayed at this hotel on one of our trips to Italy, 15 years ago and absolutely loved it. So, we decided to do it again. In the 15 years since our first visit, not much has been done in the form of maintenance. Need quite a bit of work now. Our room was VERY small and... More

The rooms were run down, it looked like nobody had been there in 10 years. A/C doesn't work and its a hassel to access their wifi network. The hotel staff was not only painful to deal with but not helpful at all. I got there the first of three days and they photocopied my passport when I checked in, got... More

We had a v. small room with dirty walls and dirty carpet. We were so hot as the heating was on and asked if we could have a/c. We were told that we couldnt have this on and to leave our windows open all day! We did not have a DVD as their site claims. The staff were rude apart... More

Dear guest, I am really sad you did not have a good experience during your last stay with us here in Rome at the Hotel d’Inghilterra. I do not know what kind of room you were assigned as on average our basic rooms are over 25 square meters large. Usually we are very reactive in finding a good and suitable... More

I was hesitant to book this hotel due to mixed reviews znd wish I'd listened to my gut. Having stayed at a wonderful 4 star in Florence we were especially looking forward to this stay, we were so disappointed! Woken at 7am every morning due to recycling/building works/doors banging. We asked to move to another room but were told it... More

We really enjoyed being so close to the Spanish Steps, trendy (but super expensive) Via Condotti shops, and steps from several restaurants. We got an advance purchase rate that included breakfast. We selected this hotel due to the location (we walked to the Colosseum, Trevi fountain, and Borghese Gallery). I was expecting super luxury because of the rate we paid,... More

We booked on 14 Jan and arrived at 7 pm on Friday 20 April. After being made to wait 30mins we were told that the hotel had "had computer problems that had affected our booking, along with 15 other bookings, and as a consequence we would have to stay 3 nights in their sister Hotel", which they said was 5-10... I visited this hotel around 25 years ago and recalled that it was fairly nice and even upscale. My visit there last week was actually horrendous. Quite honestly a dilapidated mess. I was scalded twice trying to use the shower because the water control valves in two separate rooms were faulty. The carpeting throughout looks as if it had not... More

It's only one street away from swinging Via Condotti and 2 minutes walk from the Spanish Steps and Spagna metro station. So, we were right in the heart of all the action and attractions. A charming hotel. Every staff member was so welcoming, helpful and full of great recommendations. Even though we only ate in the restaurant (Cafe Romano) once,... More

My girlfriend and I stayed here after booking it as a Top Secret hotel through lastminute.com. I think we paid around £420 for our 3 night stay here and believed we had secured ourselves a relative bargain. This was absolutely not the case. The price we paid as a Top Secret hotel was too much and I would have been... More
