This review is long overdue. My husband and I took our honeymoon a year and a half after getting married. Rome was our final stop in Italy and we absolutely cannot say enough about this hotel. We were there in November 2011. The decor is grand, beautiful deco-chic in the lobby, bar and little library. Then the rooms are kind... More

Planning our first trip to Rome, we were looking for "US-style" five-star comfort (plush King bed, large room with air conditioning, large marble bath, flat-panel TV, excellent service, etc.) at a reasonable price...a seemingly impossible feat perusing the top hotels close to the famous sights in old Rome. A common theme seemed to be a trade-off of price for proximity:... More

Great hotel : ideally located close to villa Burghese, Lord Byron is quiet and luxurious, with a perfect service. Reception and room service people are very thoughtful and nice but very profesional at the same time. Ideal for a romantic trip

Very enjoyable stay. Although the Hotel is situated a little distance from Rome's main attractions the Lord Byron offers very good value for money and a very high class of service. The staff are more than happy to accommodate your needs and a friendly smile goes a long way when your away from home. The rooms are spacious and comfortable... More

Returning to Rome after 10 yrs I knew I didn't want to stay on Via Venuto as I had before, so I chose the Lord Bryon, and it was the right choice. After walking and touring the city and surrounding areas each day, returning to the LBH each evening was the perfect way to end each perfect day. The staff... More

Good value for a high end retreat a bit removed from the hustle and bustle of Rome but still easily accessible. This is an especially good base for visiting the Borghese Gallery and gardens and the zoo. There is a tram stop just down the street but we walked everywhere without a problem. The best breakfast in Rome, which was... More

This was absolutely the best hotel. Everyone there was so nice and helpful. The room was gorgeous, spotless and large, as was the bathroom. The amenities were really nice. The breakfast buffet was a delicious variety of pastries, cereal, eggs, smoked fish, cheeses a variety of juices, coffee and teas. The hotel was right at The Borghese Park which is... More

nicely sized well-appointed room...very nice included breakfast including carafes of coffee for those wishing a break from espresso. Staff incredibly attentive (ask for both Andreas!) hotel bar downstairs with a piano very comfortable after a long day of sightseeing One warning, the location, above the Borghese Gardens may be a tad off the beaten track for some folks...you will need... One of the nicest hotels I have stayed at anywhere. The two "terrible" reviews must be about a different hotel. Our room was fairly large, comfortable and well appointed, with a large bath room and an entrance foyer with a closet and plenty of drawer space. The staff was friendly, attentive and very helpful, particularly Andrea, the concierge, and the... More

Excellent friendly service in a peaceful location, a good 20 minute walk into the centre of Rome, so if you are in need of good excercise then it is a pleasant walk through the park of Villa Borghesi. Because of the location and having had lots of excersice you will be tempted to have dinner in the hotel. Breakfast in... More
