This place is unbelievable, tucked away next to the Pantheon it oozes authentic Rome. Possibly the best place we stayed in our honeymoon month in Rome. The staff is incredible and the rooms the nicest we stayed in in all of Italy. Really a hidden gem, we will return for sure.

Set in the heart of Rome, literally a stone's throw from the Pantheon, this small but well appointed hotel is close to all attractions. We walked all over, wandering through the maze of narrow streets never knowing what fabulous sight would turn up around the next corner! The hotel is part of a very old building but the rooms are... We have stayed in this area in the past and the location is great. Hotel was clean, breakfast room staff was friendly, and the building was authentic old Rome. We were there for 3 nights. The bathroom was very nice, but know that the only toiletry item is soap in a dispenser. Our room air conditioner made a weird noise at... More

I spent seven nights at Relais Maddalena in May, 2013 and loved every minute of it. It's perfectly located, the rooms are gorgeously decorated and spotlessly clean, the bed was extremely comfortable and the breakfast had fresh, tasty and varied offerings. Francesco and Barbara were extremely friendly, helpful and such gracious hosts. They helped me with restaurant reservations and arranged... More

We spent four nights in this wonderful hotel and were glad that we did. Our four days in Rome was the end of our two weeks in Italy. The location can not be beat. One block from the Pantheon, and a five minute walk to the Piazza Navona, and the Trevi Fountain. The other major sites like the Spanish Steps,... More

The excellent rating that the Relais Maddalena has on Tripadvisor is well-deserved. Francesco Amore has done a wonderful job converting portions of this old building into a modern flavoured B&B right in the Centro Storico part of Rome. This is where you want to stay when you come to Rome, especially if you are only here for a few days.... More

We stayed for just one night but really enjoyed Relais Maddalena. It was an authentic Italian stay. Relais Maddalena is situated in the beautiful Piazza Maddalena. The accommodation is over two floors which is only accessed by stairs. It is a stunning old building with rooms that are spotless, modern and charming. Our room overlooked the Piazza and you could... Incredible location, incredible breakfast, incredible room and incredible service. When in Rome, you must stay here. 1 block from Pantheon and in the center of it all. My wife and I spent the first 3 nights of our honeymoon here and were extremely pleased with our choice. AMAZING!!!!

We stayed at the Relais Maddalena for four days in late March. The hotel is funky and charming, and somehow sophisticated all at the same time. Not a bad combination. The hotel occupies two floors of a very old building located on the Piazza Maddalena. We were a bit leary about how this would work, but we are here to... More

Relais Maddalena would be an outstanding hotel in any part of Rome, but its central location makes it even more of a gem. The staff is outstanding, making sure that you have all that you need, friendly without being overbearing. They are very helpful in finding restaurants, shops, routes to destinations, really whatever you might want. Our room was very... More

Many rooms have a lovely view outside on piazza della Maddalena and on piazza Rondanini, two among the neatest small piazzas of central Rome.We clean the rooms every day and change the linen every 2 days, and towels every time is needed.
