The hotel is well located for the Spanish steps and Borghese park and the suite was stylish and spacious with comfortable beds. However slightly too many scented sticks and pot pouri for my liking. The bathroom was big but the grouting was looking a little jaded and clothes storage was minimal. Our main problem was that there was poor sound... More

Margutta 54 is a gem of a hotel in the heart of Rome. The location (around the corner from the Spanish Steps and all of the boutique shopping along Via del Condotti) is quiet and quaint, yet in the thick of the action. It is easy to walk to the Metro, as well. The rooms are huge (even the smallest... More

Away from the madness of the Spanish Steps, it's amazing how tranquil these suites are. Tucked away in a lovely little street, full of lovely little shops and great restaurants, couldn't recommend this place more. The suites are modern and tasteful , and large too. No restaurant but croissants, muffins and orange juice are provided plus there is an nespresso... More

This review is late. I stayed at the Margutta 54 luxury suite for my 50th birthday in January. As I was turning 50 I wanted to make the trip memorable. Rome is a city that I have always wanted to visit. I didn't want to stay in a usual hotel. So I chose the Margutta suites. When we arrived we... More

This hotel is absolutely delightful, and I plan on booking here again the next time I am in Rome. First, the rooms were well appointed and very spacious. The design of the space showed off the best features of this historical building which was rich in charm. Our room had a large open plan with areas for eating, sleeping and... More

The location is perfect, right behind the Spanish Steps. It is a quiet street, a private street entrance. The house is at the end of the street. The room we had was a living room and bedroom. The living room has a couch, and a table and a kitchenette. There is no doorman or full service but you can have... More

We have just got back from a 4 nights' stay at the Margutta 54 staying at their largest suite. We are a family of 4 (2 grown girls) and had the sofa bed and an extra roll-away bed for the girls. We have stayed in other European hotels before and this is by far the most impressive in terms of... More

This wonderful hotel was recommended by our friends who had previously stayed here. The location is excellent, being in the sight-seeing vicinity. Spanish steps around the corner and Trevi fountain and Pantheon are only a short walk away. Being off a private driveway for the surrounding apartments' residents only, this small hotel is quiet and secluded. The staff are lovely... More

This mini-hotel comprises just a few rooms and is located in an old courtyard just off via Margutta, one of the loveliest streets in Rome. Like the other properties in this group (Babuino, and Mario de Fiori) Margutta has spacious, nicely-decorated rooms and big bathrooms. (Having to extend my stay unexpectedly, and coping with some sold-out days, I wound up... More

We chose Magutta 54 after finding it on Mrs &Mrs Smith and looking at the trip advisor reviews - it was a fabulous choice. We don't like hotel chains and this was the complete antithesis. Gorgeous, huge room that smelled divine and had the best bed (amazing linen). Lovely roof top drinks at sister hotel Babuino 181 which is literally... More
