The room is very tastefully furnished, good-sized, clean, soundproof and fully equipped. The bathroom is clean and functional. The location is good and on walking distance of the city center and the area is safe and quite. The breakfast was inadequate, since it only contained sweet flavors and the coffee was average. The following incident destroyed my overall impression: the... More

The location is not in a touristy area but rather in a more commercial area. It is very well connected by public buses and you can walk to Spagna (about 20 minutes) and the villa Borghese park (10 minutes). Stefano will give you all the information you need on public transport which is really very easy to use and reasonably... More

Location is nice and central, but no a touristic area. Room was clean and staff friendly. Breakfast was capucino and some packed croisant and sweet cake, nothing fresh. Through paperwalls you could hear the neighbor room tv. Did not spent too much time there though :). There was some renovation work going on in the building, but it didn´t bother.... More

The "hotel" if we can call it so , is very central, not far from Spanish steps, second floor, big rooms, clean, flat screen TV, free internet wifi, includes breakfast, but beside coffee, not necessary to take, because if you go down there are few coffee shops with fresh pastries. The owner is very kind, there is also Maurizio prestige... More

Due to a mixup on our own part we booked into casa di Maurizio for one night of our trip. The room was very pleasant, comfortable and well equipped. It was more like a room in a full hotel then what I expected to find in a B&B. The staff are also extremely friendly and helpful. Overall we were more... More

THE LOCATION It's a convenient 15min walk from the central train station in an unspectacular area; the rooms face the street, no stunning views; THE ROOM The room itself was fine: clean, decent size, ok-furniture, flatscreen-TV. Stayed in Room Number 3 which faces 2 streets, but with shades, windows and 2 curtains you won't hear much. Average breakfast is served... More

La Casa di Maurizio was a nice place to stay. We needed a place that was well located to attraction, transportation and our family that are residents of Rome. To describe this B & B I would first start off by saying that it is in a safe residential / buisness mix area of Rome. Walking to and from this... More

We are a couple from the US on vacation, and had a wonderful experience at La Casa di Maurizio. The owner, Maurizio, was outside the hotel and opened the doors to our taxi upon our arrival. He is a very nice person and easily accessible. The hotel is up to date, and VERY clean. You can't beat the location -... More

As a just married couple we stayed at La Casa di Maurizio in June 2008 to celebrate our wedding with family in Rome. We stayed at Maurizio's and enjoyed every minute. It's a business area with the American Ambassy just around the corner and the Spanish stairs around the other. Bueatiful room with bathroom, all very clean. Hot cappuccino in... More

We had booked other lodgings for Rome through vrbo.com. However, the owner sent a driver to fetch us at the airport who did not know where to take us and he spoke no English. After over 20 hours of travel and two hours of driving around Rome, we were in terrible shape and very confused. Fortunately, the driver had a... More
