My only regret is that we did not stay longer; we had only the one afternoon and evening before our departure. We arrived at La Dimora early on a Monday following two weeks of busy touring. After wondering what next to do, we decided we could just relax. We were impressed by the Basilicata landscape and refreshed by the fresh... More

It was like going to someone you already know. I have read all the reviews before booking and had very high expectations. Angelo (the owner of Dimora) delivered fully and we felt like we were his favorite distant cousins, very friendly and like a perfect host, without being intrusive or overpowering. The room was spacious, super clean, beds comfortable and... More

After a two and half week trip exploring Rome, Amalfi Coast and Sicily we stayed three nights at La Dimora dei Cavalieri to quietly relax and enjoy (need car) the region before our trip home. We were treated like royalty with great service, spacious and comfortable rooms and wonderful food. Angelo and his staff were very gracious and could not... More

This is a hidden gem of a place. This a great B&B run by a family who really care about what they do and how to treat /welcome their guests. I can confirm that the food is fantastic and the family take great pride in serving locally sourced produce and dishes that are homemade. Just like the food, the view... More

Our party stayed at La Dimora for an amazing 2 nights in June 2010, as part of a 2-week trip in Italy. The stay was beyond our expectations! Upon our arrival, Angelo arranged a spot for us on the balcony with a beautiful panoramic view of the rolling hills of Basilicata, and proceeded with a private tasting of Aglianico wines.... More

My husband and i stayed here for two nights during our recent holiday. This is one of those places that you will still be reminiscing about years later (and will definitely want to visit more than once). The food was fantastic, truly authentic with almost everything home grown or made, even the lovely light home made wine was made by... More

I cannot praise Angelo and his agriturismo highly enough. What a wonderful host, he even took us into town and showed us round the new museum. But the highlight was the food. I may not have eaten better food ever, I certainly have not eaten better value food. We had something like 15 dishes for dinner each one freshly cooked... More

A great place to enjoy all the local food, from farm raised lamb, sheep, goat, to the well known CARDONCELLI mushrooms, to the homemade liqueurs such as Limoncello e Fragolino, to the wide variety of antipasto, homemade pasta e ravioli with ricotta, pizzas, and so many other local products. Excellent service. Dalla Famiglia MILANO, residente in Ontario, CANADA More

Angelo was wonderful, the rooms large, the food excellent, the service beyond compare. I would highly recommend Basilicata and staying at La Dimora dei Cavalieri. I was traveling with 3 friends-a road trip to find some of my ancestral homes. La Dimora die Cavalieri was an unexpected treasure. Angelo speaks excellent English and was extremely helpful with directions, trip planning,... More
