We spent there 3 nights in December 2011. It is located in the Sasso Barisano, 5 minutes walk from Matera's city centre. Our room was built in a cave, it was large, clean and nice. View on the "Sassi". Friendly staff. There are spectacular underground "thermae" with swimming pool. Excellent breakfast. Very good value for money.

If you're visiting the Sasso this is a perfect place to sleep in a cave. Well appointed and comfortable. its difficult driving in, get clear directions.
