Very nice hotel. It was a house converted to a hotel with nice furnishings and decorations. The rooms offer breathtaking views of the Sassi. Mel Gibson, Monica Belucci and other casts of the movie Passion of the Christ stayed there during the shoot.

When you go to a 3 start hotel you expect: to get what you pay for:
1- you are asked to pay extra to get a view on Matera but,
- you don't get any view
- you have to pay for it
- and the owner is telling you that you should not mater as you will not stay...
