Not a lot we can add to the previous reviews. My husband, daugher and I stayed for 4 nights and were made to feel so welcome, nothing was too much bother. The owner regaled us with stories of the neighbourhood, my husband and I met here in 1963, we got the lowdown on restaurants which still existed and how he'd... More

We stayed here in September in a double jacuzzi room. Loved the funky décor and the bed was very comfy. Bathroom was extremely small but clean and shower was great. Everyone on reception were really friendly and helpful and spoke good English. If you’re a light sleeper this isn’t the place for you though! Walls are paper thin and water... More

Hostal Santo Domingo is set in the second and third floors of a large old building which also accommodates Hostal del Mar and Hostal Luna and is approached through a forbidding looking doorway either by a large sweeping stairway or a tiny lift. Inside it is a real surprise: modern and stylish with very well appointed if small rooms, but... More

Don't be concerned with the name "Hostal" if you're not looking for a backpackers spot, this feels like a true hotel. Located in a great area of Madrid, close to Metro, but a quick walk to most parts of town. The rooms are small, but very chic and modern. Comfortable bed, amazing shower, and communal computers if needed. Overall, highly... More

Stylish minimalist décor, rooms are well equipped with air con (essential to sleep during summer), nice shower, hair dryer and LCD TV. Internet connection was fast enough. Clean, clean, clean. Nice and helpful staff. Very close to all attractions in Gran Via, but also inserted in a real neighborhood. Love to come back! More

Staff (Babacar, Helen, et al.) were very helpful and friendly. Rooms were clean and well maintained. Like many of the reviewers have said, the place is centrally located and close to much of what one typically wants to see in Madrid. More

Staying at the Hostal Santo Domingo was one of the best parts about our trip to Spain. We were there for 4 nights, 3 days and dealing with them was a pleasure. It did help that I spoke Spanish, but they were very fluent in English and eager to help with great recommendations. They reserved a spot for us at... More

Beautiful cosy and colorful rooms. Friendly polyglot staff, wifi and wired flat screen PC, a few steps away from the Palacio real and the Prado. And the design is really funky! More

We enjoyed our stay in this hostal. The staff was courteous, friendly and helpful. They spoke english well and gave us advise on places to dine in, sights to see, etc. Although the rooms are small (we stayed in a superior room), the decor is modern, the bed is comfortable and the it is very, very clean. The hostal has... More
