Catalonia Puerta del Sol is a comfortable clean hotel. Check in was easy and friendly. WiFi is free, easy to log on to and works quite well. Rooms either overlook the street or an inner atrium. French windows over Juliet balconies insulate sound quite well, although the central location means there will always be some traffic noise if overlooking the... More

A lovely hotel in a great location, very central. It is on a busy street however but we stayed in an inside room overlooking the courtyard so was quiet on an evening. Staff are very friendly and there is everything you could want for breakfast. The room was spacious and very clean, perhaps the only thing extra we would have... More

Party of three adults in a junior suite with the second room permanently fixed as a third bedroom. Ideal for three adults . Brilliant location. Very adequate breakfast and very helpful staff both at breakfast and reception. Lovely bar area exactly as in the photos. Can't comment on the differential room sizes as didn't see any others. Very convenient for... More

We chose this hotel because it was close to where our son is living in Madrid, but it turned out that was a lucky move. The staff were all very helpful and some were quite delightful, putting up with my intermediate (at best) Spanish with patience and kind attempts at improvement. Our room was comfortable and quiet. The breakfast, included... More

Been there for a weekend in the last days of march. Hotel is very well placed, close enough to all the central points of interest in Madrid. On the arrival we had a major dissapointment when we entered the room - very small, with little space between the minibar and the bed. Fortunately the staff was kind enough to change... More

Dear Mr. Bogdancon, First of all i want to thank your comments. All rooms are much bigger than the minimun space for a 4stars hotel mandatory, however if you were not confortable in the first room I am glad to know that you were happy in the second room. Hope you visit us again. Best regards, More

This hotel ticks all the boxes for those looking for friendly and welcoming staff who provide an excellent service. Its also enjoys a great central location with easy access to a number of metro (underground) stations. However, the standard bedroom was pretty basic and lacked the comfort you would normally expect from a 4* hotel - but it was very... More

The hotel is in a top central area, the street a little loud, though. The hotel features a very nice vintage Madrid city building and all the public areas of the hotels are in very good shape and the atrium patio is truly beatiful and a very nice hangout. The inside part of the bar is a little old-fashioned, yet... More

The location of the hotel is ideal to explor the city. near plaza del sol and plaza mayor many places, including the museums, are in walking distance.
