It was totally value for money! Clean and with really helpful stuff, however if you really want to meet lots of people, this is not an excellent place for that. The hostel is quite small, and they do not organize a lot of activites. But i must mention, i had the chance about meeting others :)

Ok, the rooms are basic, but they are clean. The staff is very friendly and helpful. There is a nice kitchen you can use and a marvelous terrace open til 11pm. There are plenty of bars and restaurants around which leaves the neighborhood full of life (and noise) until late in the night. If you are young, tolerant and come... More

The best part about this hostel is that it is really easy to find and conveniently located. The common areas were nice and the WiFi was great. The bathrooms were not so great. The stalls were were small and the doors didn't really stay shut. In the female dorm room there were loose tiles on the floor and everything just... More

Went there with 3 friends, but not all of us were there for exactly the same nights. Reservations were handled great though, all of us could stay in the same dorm. Staff was friendly and nice to chat with. Generally the Barbieri is a nice hostel, but it's a hostel. Beds make annoying noises and some stairs would be very... More

We stayed here one night - thank goodness. While the staff at reception were helpful the place just didn't feel clean. The dorm we were in had old sheets, no ladders to the bunks and as I said before didn't feel particularly clean. Also, I was on the top bunk with the a/c blasting down on me - I had... More

This was a good value option with a good location. The rooms are bright and kitchen well equipped. Common room is a great place to meet other travelers. On our first night, a girl rented a movie (free from reception) and we had a group movie night. About 10 people crammed onto the couches. Good fun. Breakfast was ok, just... More

I stayed here for about 4 nights with 3 other friends. We stayed in a mixed dorm with about 10 other people. The room was big but most space was taken up by the beds which were EXTREMELY noisy and very hard to climb up and down from the bunks without doing youself or someone else an injury. I really... WORST hostel ever! They refused to credit our online deposit, the place is run down, the “breakfast” is crap (the only thing you get is toast and even the toaster is broker), and worst of all the bathrooms are gross. The doors don’t have locks so you can walk into anyone’s room and the lockers you pay to use are... More
