Hostal Ballesta was conveniently located a few blocks away from Gran via making it very easy to go in and out! Make sure that you have clear directions on how to get there since the roads are tiny and the hostal blends in. This is a hostal so keep in mind you will not be staying in a hotel. Service... More

“Highly recommended”

Positive: Location, nice staff, room decor, free wifi, very nice comodities room with computers, sofas, hd tv... Negative: The window didn't catch enough sunlight, the pillows were hard, can't control the air conditioner and shower with nowhere to place shampoo, soap, etc.

Very good located. 1 min walk from Gran Via, very close from metro station and 10-15 min walk to Plaza Mayor, and 5 min walk from the other main shopping street. The room was clean and the staff very helpful. Ask them for non touristic restaurants, they will provide you little tapas-bar restaurants where they are not used to tourists.... More

Very good price in the center of Madrid! Even prostitutes in this street wasn't case of any problem. In real, it was a little bit funny :) We loved the rooms and bathrooms are so nice! Friendly staff!

Amazing value for money . Decent sized rooms with a balcony , clean and good furniture . However the great room quality is not the best feature of Ballesta as it is only 100 meters away from the Gran Via . A fantastically placed, clean and modern Hostel in the heart of Madrid. I only stayed one night but I couldn't fault it in the slightest with exception of things outside of managements control (e.g. The escorts scouting for business).
