Situated next to a long stairway that leads into the old city, the hotel is close to the cathedral and an area of sidewalk cafes. Unfortunately, our room looked out on a busy and noisy street and, even though it was very warm and humid during the day and early evening, the hotel management advised that they do not turn... More

It was very nice smaller hotel with a beautiful view over the cathedral. It was located just in begin of the historical site of the city, only 5 minutes to go to the cathedral. The room was spacious and comfortable, clean and nice with 2 French windows so we had all the historical sites before us. We parked in one... More

Dear Customer, Thank you very much for your kind comments about the hotel. The pilgrimages are very important to feel Santiago and the spirit of "el camino", but it is not necessary to do 250 miles, and it is not required to make the French way. You can make English way also leaving from Ferrol, which are few more than... More

Stayed here twice, before the start of our El Camino in Sarria and at the end of our walk. Great location 5 minutes walk away from the busy centre. Our rooms overlooked the magnificent Cathedral. We left the windows open all night to enjoy the view and the chiming of the bells. Helpful at reception and they spoke English. Breakfast... More

We were really pleased to have one of two rooms with a terrace overlooking the cathedral, which we really enjoyed. However, the room opened of the reception area and we were woken a few times by comings and goings, loud conversations etc. The hotel itself seemed a bit tired and uninspiring. Breakfast was in a windowless room in the basement... More

The Hotel Pombal was a good choice for us. It was only a few minutes walk to the Cathedral and also to the "old town" and all the shops and restaurants, yet away from the hustle and bustle. While on a "main" road and even though we had a room fronting that road, there was not a lot of traffic... More

Comfortable hotel with a great location v near the cathedral and beside the park. Grand big rooms, some with enormous patios overlooking the cathedral. Nice breakfast with lots of choice. Overall good value for money.

This small hotel is conveniently located in the edge of the old town, with beautiful views of the cathedral, and within easy walking distance to all historical sites. Parking is off-site, in a public lot, approximately 150 metres from the hotel. As a hotel guest you'll pay a reduced parking fee of 8€. Our room (#13) was small, quaintly furnished,... More
