The hotel is accessible for those arriving by car, but the rooms are quite small and there's no A/C!!! it was awful we couldn't sleep - with windows closed and no air it was too hot, but with windows open it was very noisy because of the cars constantly passing by. In our first room there was blood on the... More

There are two Santiago de Compostela city: The old, which has in its main tourist attraction the Cathedral. And the other, cosmopolitan, current, day to day. Hotel Ciudad de Compostela is located practically on the border between old and new. Santiago is just all up and down, and steps for all sides. To go to the Cathedral there are two... More

The hotel is not far from the centers, only be prepared for a lot of steps to get there. The rooms are OK, only the traffic light are quite loud :-) The breakfest is an express one, so don't expect much. Near of a shoping center if you need one. For parking there is a garage or you can find... More

This hotel, part of a large Spanish chain, is located on a main road approximately 500 metres from the Santiago old town. The walk to the old town would take an average person around 15 minutes, but there is a very steep flight of steps immediately after the hotel which older or disabled visitors may find difficult. The hotel has... More

This is a modern comfortable hotel just outside the historic centre. It’s a bit of a hike up to the old town but taxis are plentiful and cheap. Our room was fine and was comfortable enough for a couple of nights. It was at the front of the hotel and overlooked a fairly busy main road but we slept OK... More

Liked hotel. About 10 to 15 minutes stroll to City center. Rooms on top floor do not have access to lifts. But attic rooms were spacious. I had read helpful advice about underground parking. It did not prepare me for surprisingly steep and twisting access to hotel underground parking. Almost 1:1 slope. Caution needed for motorcycles. Even my friends on... More

We stayed for 3 nights the hotel was great, clean and quiet. The breakfast was adequate self service. There is no coffee making facilities in the room but the hotel has a cafe bar street side where you can purchase drinks and food and stays open till midnight (there is a minibar in the room) If you turn left out of... I booked this on booking.com, and the rate was very decent at EUR70 + EUR8.60 for breakfast per person. The location is excellent, about 180m from the Bus station. You exit the hotel, turn left and then turn left again at the steps leading up. This will lead you to the main road leading to the old town. The rooms... More

Stayed in this hotel over Easter 2008 and generally it was a positive experience. The rooms were clean and comfortable and are a decent size. The reception area and lobby are welcoming and friendly and there's a nice cafe/bar in the lobby which was absolutely buzzing with people in the weekday mornings. The staff were friendly and helpful, though not... More

My wife and I stayed at the Ciudad de Compostela, part of the Husa organisation, for 11 nights in March this year. The hotel is fairly new - it opened in 1999. The room was good, with a mini-bar and TV. There was also piped music either pop or classical. It was a slight surprise that there was no bidet... More
