This was my night of luxury having walked the last 300 kms of the Camino. I had booked a single room for a very reasonable price and what I got was a spotlessly clean, comfortable room with a good shower and a window overlooking some greenery and other buildings. I could sit at my desk and look at the ancient... More

Just opposite the Cathedral. Rooms with character of monks cells. No disturbing TV, radio or Internet connection. Just lovely and quiet. Just what one needed after a camino walking.

We booked this hotel because of its location (next to the cathedral) and the comments, we were a Little afraid because it says it was a 1 star hotel. The hotel is in a beautiful building just steps away from the main plaza, the place looks recently restored. The rooms are small but very comfortable, the staff is very professional.... More

This hotel is really gorgeous. the mix of old and modern is so well blended. The room is small but not stuffy. There was a fine window in the room and even though it was only February we left it open all night. The bathroom is small but the shower is very powerful. Everything was spotless and the decor so... More

Location, location, location. and if you add value. this is the place. The old monastery setting, the ambienace and freindliness of everyone makes this place the perfect complement to Santiago.

At 75euros per night, its good value for its location, right beside the cathedral, rooms a little on the basic side but you are in a monastery with no air conditioning. Breakfast adequate..walk 5 minutes to the Parador dos Ries Catolicos for dinner in one of their restaurant. Nice place to walk around after dinner.

To add to the other reviews, I would advise that the wi-fi worked perfectly when we were there. The rooms are in an old monastery, so are basic, but with very comfortable beds, and a small, but very clean and modern bathroom and shower, no tub or bidet, but then so is the price. While I would have stayed at... More

what better to stay in an old monastery transformed to hotel , just outside the cathedral. rooms quite basicand clean but when you go to santiago, it's enough for you... Breakfast was good value (5 euros) and the hotel fully atmospheric Altough wi-fi didn't work, small rooms, no tv,no parking, i definetely would go there again...

Stay at the San Martin for location and proximity to the action in Santiago. The hotel is basic - it's a converted monastery after all!. No luxuries (no tv, sketchy internet access). The room we stayed in had been upgraded - nice, if small, bathroom. Beds are a bit bouncy (kind of like staying in a college dorm room), but... More
