“great location, extremely clean, internet and good price/value”

I would stay again. 5 minute walk to Cathedral. Eat at El Jairo on Rua Carretas just below Praza Obradoiro, and select from the menu of the day for about 7.5 Euros for lunch. The food will truly blow you away. It is outstanding homade traditional Spanish and Galician food.

We were in Santiago de Compostela to see the sights, I would have loved to stay in one of the nicer hotels but they seem to get booked up quickly and we had a limited choice, hence we ended up in the Mapoula. We stayed in Hostal Mapoula for three nights, at the beginning of a tour of eastern Spain and Portugal. “Good if you are a heavy sleeper”

The hotel Mapoula was clean, central and well priced. However, be aware that you will hear partying and yelling from outside the hotel all night and early hours of the morning. Really hard to get a good night's sleep unless you are a heavy sleeper or wear earmuffs.
