It was very bad experince to stay there 18 days. Acctualy it was not a hotel. No room service, no minibar in the room even no soap in the bathroom. I was there for bussiness trip but this place only for students not for bussiness men.

Although you can hear noise from the next room I requested a quiet room and got it, slept no problem. My concern of it being noisy because it was so close to Ramblas was also not necessary. Given the price of this place (cheaper on the weekends) it was a good value "no frills" option for visiting Barcelona. The hostal is centrally located, just 300 m from the Liceu Metro Station, which means we were staying just off the central part of the Ramblas, without being disturbed by the noise and activity in the main street. Had a single room for a few nights in late july, 2007. The location is excellent, smack in the middle of the Raval area, 2 minutes walk from metro station Liceu.
