Directions were not given properly in the website. They gave a wrong direction and I was searching for more than half an hour from the so called nearest metro station. Too many useless rules to keep the guests calm and quite. Guests were entering the room in the mid night disturbing everyone but they didn't allow me to shower in... More

Really nice place, good staff, friendly atmosphere. Great location right in between Barri Gotic, Passeig de Gracia and Sagrada Familia. Large lockers, fit whole suitcases. Nice terrace in case you like to stay in one night. Only slight complain is the small number of bathrooms available, and there's only one stove for the whole hostel - queues for showering and... I wouldn't stay anywhere else if I was going to Barcelona on a budget. Have stayed there 3 times, even when I could have stayed someplace pricier. Let me start from the beginning. My first trip to Barcelona. Alone. I didn't know anyone and I didn't speak Spanish but when I got to the other, more popular, hostel they said... More

I stayed for 5 nights in August and definitely recomend it. It’s not a big hostel, but that gave it a good homely atmosphere and, at the same time, it was a great place to sleep (after midnight they shut the terrace and the showers, which was ok by me!). The kitchen is small but was good enough for my... More

Stayed at this hostel in June 2010, and it was the last place in a serious of six cities we visited in Spain. I was very impressed with the way even the most basic accommodation had been made comfortable and secure by the attention to detail of the hosts. If you want a place where you can go completely wild,... More

For the price that we paid, I wasn't expecting much when we arrived. To our surprise, the hostel is very clean, quiet and staffed with very helpful personnel despite its very reasonable rates. There is even a kitchen with very complete cooking sets, which came in very handy when you wanted to save up a little by eating in. No... More

This is the best Hostel I have ever stayed in. It was spotlessly clean and very well run. Rate included breakfast (3 pieces of toast, coffee or hot chocolate or herbal tea, jams and margerine, packed juice, a little muffin). We stayed in the BCN Backpackers Diputació, just a couple of blocks away from the metro station. The hostel was... More

We stayed at Backpackers BCN hostel in April for 4 night's. We got what we reserved: double room, private with private bathroom. The room was a good size, clean, the bed was comfortable. It was very quiet while we were sleeping. The breakfast was good, lots of bread or cereal with juices or coffee. There's a couple of nice common... More

From the moment I rang the bell (following the detailed directions to a rather obscure location in the central Gothic District) and the owner's husband stepped out onto the second floor landing to welcome me, this hostel had a personal touch that stands out in 20 years of backpacking. It is essentially a second floor that has been converted into... More

Okay, the minuses: --Terrible directions from train station --Extremely difficult to find (had to ask directions from the wonderful clerk at the department store next door) --No A/C --Probably not good for large groups. We, however, were a group of two, carrying bags that weighed roughly the average speed limit of North Dakota. We lugged ourselves down what appeared to... More
