It's a great Hotel in Center of Barcelona but still quite. Stayed there for the second time and recommend everyone who stays in Barcalona to book this hotel. round 3 mins walk away from center of La Rambla. Close to the Mercat de Sant Josep de la Boqueria (Food Market)

Very convenient location just off La Rambla about halfway between the port and placa Catalunya. Although the Hotel Principal can be classed as a mid range budget establishment, the level of facilities is high. We stayed here for 2 full days and one night. We booked through Trip Advisor web site. OK, It's not 5 star, it's not in a fashionable street, It hasn't a snazzy façade..... Good sized rooms with large twin beds, firm but not too hard. Large bathroom with plenty of hot water in the shower. Breakfast is continental with scrambled eggs, bacon and beans in the baine marie, fruit juice and coffee from dispensing machines.
