We recently stayed for 4 nights at the Melia for the first portion of our honeymoon. The hotel is situated about a half hour from the Barcelona airport, maybe a bit more in traffic. It is NOT in the 'heart' of the city or near the usual tourist attractions, and will need a solid 10 minute walk to reach the... More

We had a booking confirmed a month before international travel. Two days before check in date, an email was sent saying an error in their booking system, for the first time ever had caused a double booking, and we were to be checked into another hotel. The new hotel has terrible reviews so we said no (they wanted the same... More

Hotel is located in a nice residential area - next to Diagonal street and within walking distance from the metro station. Taxi-cost to the city center never exceeded 8 euros. I spend 5 nights in room 316 with my wife. Hotel is nice and "modern" although that the carpet (at least in room 316) was a little bit "smelly" and... More

Having read a number of reviews regarding this hotel, we were a little cautious before we arrived, but we need'nt have been. The staff without exception were fantastic, from Diego on the front door,to Daniel on reception, right throughout the hotel.Yes it is set-up principally for the "business person",and the regular" American coach parties",but, for us travelling as an independent couple,we had no problems.Apart, from the... Hotel is slick and techie. However this does not distract from the fact that room 2005 has a locked adjoining room door and it feels and sounds as if my neighbors are having sex at 4 am in my room. Creepy. So by all means stay at this hotel, just avoid away rooms ending in 05. I would also like... More

Barcelona was our last stop on our 2-weeks holiday before going back to Madrid to catch a plane back to Australia. We arrived at the hotel after 2-weeks driving around Andalusia and 3-hour train journey feeling very tired and ready to sleep. Previously we received an email from the hotel who said that they were instructed by the GM to... More

I stayed here for 3 nights with my boyfriend. I booked through lastminute.com and booked a 'city view' room. When we arrived, we were on floor 5 and looked out straight into another high rise building - not quite what I was expecting. All the buildings in Barcelona are high and unless we were on level 19 or similar I... More

A friend of mine booked the Hotel for me, so I had no idea what it was going to be like. At our arrival all staff were really kind and professional. As we arrived before ckeck-in time the Recepctionist was kind enough to offer us a room in a lower floor that was available right then and there. We took... More

Hotel is in an excellent location, 15-20min from the airport and is perfectly located near easy access to Barcelona touristic bus pick up point, several choices of restaurants and high street shopping. Hotel is good value for money, great service, good shower facilities and a comfortable bed. It has one of the best breakfast buffets I have experienced and is... More
