It's a cheap option for people staying in dorms. You are more like a guest in someone's house here than in a hostel. It's a small space so you will interact with other travelers and staff. Close to metro and rail line. Good & friendly staff. Room a bit dated. But sufficient if you just need a place to sleep... Barcelona has so much to offer and see

We stayed in the AWA happy hostel in Barcelona (affiliated with the AWA Barcelona central hostel). We booked a private room for 60 €. The room was next to kitchen (noisy). The room was really small and you felt claustrophobic. No value for money (in case of the private room)

Perfect location right next to Gaudi buildings. The building of the place itself is really nice and everything is well decorated and clean with high cielings... Staff were so helpful, we had such nice time out in terrace having dinners all of us. We felt at home in Barcelona because of that place. Highly recommended.
