Let me start with this. You are looking at this place because you are on a budget, not because of anything else. If you want a 4-star hotel in this location, there is one less than a minute's walk away.
Given that, this place had everything we needed for a 3-night stay. The lady at the front was super nice,...

Apartamentos Europa offers low cost accommodation with considerable sacrifice of amenities and comfort. The room was clean, the bed relatively comfortable with clean bedding, the air conditioning good. It is well situated within a few minutes walk of the train station and metro. Cost less than one Euro to take the 20 minute train ride from the airport. However, there...

The owners of these so-called 'apartments' ought to be prosecuted under the Spanish equivalent of the Trades Descriptions Act. Were I to put a few kitchen cabinets in my bedroom with a tiny fridge and useless cooking rings, could I pass it off as an 'apartment' - no!! But, that's what you get in the 'Apartamentos Europa'. This place is run down. The furniture is very outdated. The bed was very uncomfortable. I couldn't wait to check out of that place. The pictures are nothing like the actual room. It was very close to the train station but stil not worth the money.

Typically residential and business area so very Spanish which was a lovely experience. Small apartment but really all we needed as it was a base for sleeping, but great to...

Our main problem with the apartment was the heating - or rather lack of it! Whilst Barcelona wasn't cold, our apartment was absolutely freezing! An additional blanket was provided however this was...

This is the worst place we have ever stayed anywhere in the world. Just picture a horror film in which you sleep on a flea bitten mattress, where the lights flicker, where the air stinks of stale cigarette smoke, where power cords are so dangerous you fear an electric shock, where is all you hear is vehicles zooming up and...

The apartment had a double bed, not twins put together! and an equipped kitchen. The grocery store was very close and buying food and cooking was much cheaper than eating out. The balcony was large and it was the perfect place to put your feet up and relax drinking some cook gazpacho after a long day walking the Ramblas.
And...
