“Functional--but more than adequate”

I spent three nights here in July 2011, I had a single room that was of a reasonable size and reasonably furnished, and was thoroughly cleaned every day. The staff were helpful and had excellent English. The hotel does lack "character" but other than that I have no complaints, and wopuld happily stay there again.

Staff were rude, sarcastic and argumentative over a car park issue resulting in cancellation of the reservation. I would not advise anyone to stay here. A day later I arrived in another hotel in another country and were greeted by friendly, helpful staff who could not be more welcoming. This confimed how utterly poor the service in the Castellano was.

I read a negative review about this hotel before I left, however it did not show to be true. There is always a place to park the car as outside there is a bay just for the hotel and it has a reasonably priced underground car park. This is good as it's very difficult to park otherwise.
