We stayed at the Mate Vega for two nights. It is barely a block from one of the entrances to the Plaza Mayor and a 10 minute walk to the university and the cathedral. We stayed here recently for 4 nights and could not have been more pleased with the location....rooms are a bit on the small side and paying a 10 euro supplement got us an "executive" room on the top floor....highly recommended.....staff were very friendly and breakfast entirely adequate...we don't hesitate to recommend. Very nice hotel spot on in the very centre of Salamanca. Parking is in the garage under the hotel, which is a nice extra.
