Second visit to the Chayofa Country Club, Choyofa, Tenerife. In the interim years it has gone downhill, lack of investment. Seems a lot of the apartments are now not timeshare, some have for sale signs attached. Buildings show need for exterior painting, patching up in places. We stayed there for 3 weeks - mixture of business purposes and leisure. Large rooms and quiet but only 5 mins to Los Cristianos by bus which is right outside the resort and usually each hour. We stayed here over xmas 2011 and thoroughly enjoyed it. Very spacious and spotlessly clean studio. Staff very helpful especially the English lady on reception. 5 min by bus to los cristanos. Firstly, discount earlier reviews as they have become outdated and irrelevant. The complex is under new management. The village is well sited and quiet, being a few minutes from Los Christianos BY CAR, and although there is a bus service on the mountain, serious consideration should be given to the practicalities of using public transport or the costs of taxis... Nice hotel, although a little dated, oops did I say hotel, more like apartments, part timeshare, part owned and pretty basic. Few facilities, a cold swimming pool, a bar rarely open, so nowhere to eat early. We had a great time...weather fantastic, staff fantastic. We were upgraded from a 1bed apartment to a 2 bed apartment and the views from both of the very large terraces were great, especially at sunset whilst enjoying a glass of wine before dinner.
