When we arrived we were greeted by a staff member who spoke excellent English, which was helpful given our poor Spanish. The explanation on arrival included maps, explanation about catching the local bus and local walks, which assisted us to make the most of our time in San Sebastian. We requested a sea view on booking which we were really... More

Hotel Leku Eder is a peaceful, elegent hotel with dark wood floors and simple but pretty decor. A bit difficult to find by car, but worth it when you get there as the view is spectacular. It was spotlessly clean throughout, with friendly staff and a lovely sunny breakfast room. We had emailed beforehand and requested a sea view, and... More

The Leku Eder sits near the top of a steep hill a short distance outside San Sebastian, looking out over the Bay of Biscay. This is an older, family-run property that seems a bit tired but our room was clean and comfortable, with a great balcony facing west over the view. The receptionist was very helpful with information about local... More

This is the place to stay if you want to leave your car and use the local bus into the centre of San Sebastián. By doing this you get great value for money and fantastic welcoming staff who are always on hand to offer their knowledge. The hotel is styled very traditionally so if you like contemporary styling its not... More

A little gem, with extensive views over the coastline, away from the tourist centre, but with a very efficient, reliable bus service every 30 minutes till 10 pm outside the front door that took 20 minutes to be in the old town.We were warmly greeted by "Iggy"/Ignatius..not his Basque name and found all staff very friendly...and I feel this helped create a family atmosphere... Stayed for one night on the way to Biarritz and was surprised at how good a 2 star hotel in Spain could be. Would never dream of staying in one in the Uk. The hotel is clean and has an old fashioned charm to it. There are solid wooden floors and pictures all over the walls. The receptionist was extremely... More

Highly recommend this charming friendly hotel. Staff was extremely helpful, we arrived a day early, they managed to take us early and were ready to respond to any questions or needs. We parked our car and took the bus, which stops in front of the hotel, to town. We had a lovely double room on the 2nd flr with a... More

Vey small hotel about 20 minutes from the centre of San Sebastian by car and an hour's drive from Bilbao airport. Lovely friendly staff (though the receptionist when we arrived gave us a very hard time for not letting them know we would arrive late - when we had e-mailed at 11am that morning and had an acknowledgment, which we... As suggested by its Basque name (which was translated to me by a local to mean "a beautiful place"), an absolutely beautiful location on top of a hill, with a view of a small bay and a beacon. We could hear the roar of the sea at night! The lady receptionist (unfortunately I didn't get her name) was really attentive,... More
