Very good value and location. The rooms were comfortable and clean, and we didn't hear any noise from outside (although the walls are thin). The area around is great for going out too with lots of bars and places to eat.

Pension Mardones is perfectly located in the old town. Walking distance to all the major sights and the main train station. It's a short tram ride to the bus station if you are travelling this way. The Pension Madrones might seem a tad overpriced at first, but, surprisingly, it is not. Standard basic room without any trappings, but the location is fantastic - in the middle of the old town. It did get quite noisy at nights, but overall I'd recommend this place for the location alone!
