We spent one night at San Mames enroute from San Sebastian. The location right next to the bus station was perfect for our arrival from San Sebastian and to catch the bus to the airport. The Guggenheim is only about a 20 to 30 minute walk from the hotel. There are several bars and cafes very close by. The hotel... More

I stayed at San Mames just for the night. Their website makes it easy to make a reservation. No Frills. It's comfortable and clean. The room was at the back-side, so no problems with street noise. Just a 15 minute walk from the Guggenheim. During weekends, parking in the street is for free.

San Mames aka. San Mablon is fantastic. A deffinite feature of the place is the local bus shelter. You can sit here for hours and watch all the marvelous mablons walk past, a must see
