City centre hotel, so the location is good for visiting Gijon. The whole hotel is very tired, noisy and not very comfortable. The food in the hotel cafe, however, is a good buy compared to other places in Gijon.

Under average - they didn't even speak english in the reception, and the only stairway (fire exit) was comprimised by open doors to the hallways on every floor :-O
Our room in the Don Manuel was small, clean and outrageously noisy in the early morning hours of a festival weekend. That said, the location is excellent---a long fly ball to the Atlantic through a myriad of interesting little streets and squares.
Gijon itself is wonderful, and the Don Manuel would be a good and economical choice for a single...
